The Dot Space is a design and development studio registered in the Netherlands. This page explains what information we collect when you contact us, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect
When you submit the contact form on this site we receive: your name, email address, optional company name, the budget range and timeline you selected, and the description of your project. We don't collect anything else. There are no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, or third-party cookies on this site, and it loads nothing from a third-party server, fonts included.
Why we collect it
To respond to your project inquiry and, if there's a fit, follow up with a scoping conversation. We don't use this information for marketing, and we don't share or sell it. Our lawful basis is your request: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to business enquiries.
Where it's stored
Form submissions are processed by Netlify Forms, which is operated by Netlify, Inc. (United States). Your submission sits on Netlify's infrastructure and is forwarded to our email. Netlify acts as a data processor for us under their terms.
What your browser stores
Two things, both functional and neither used for tracking: your language choice, so the site opens in the same language next time, and a one-per-session flag that stops the intro animation replaying. Both stay in your browser and are never transmitted to us. Because they are strictly necessary to provide what you asked for, no cookie banner is required.
How long we keep it
Submissions are kept for as long as the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterward in case you reach back out. If the inquiry doesn't lead anywhere within 12 months, we delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email the address below and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
